2025 Draft Recap

It wasn't our best turnout, but 8 of 12 in person and 3 of the 4 remote were online -- given this stage of our lives, I see that as an absolute win.

I never heard how the pre-draft golf went, but congrats to whoever won.

The post-draft ranking tools are getting a little better.  Instead of having to copy and paste everything in, I can provide you all with one link.  

The staple of league rankings is football guys, and they have upped their game this year. https://www.footballguys.com/rate-my-team/2025/stg-2  Once you're on that site you can see what everyone is ranked, you can update your settings to get either praised or roasted, you can choose each team from the main page, and you can even pick by positions and see which teams are the best and worst in the league at those positions.  The one problem with this site is that they kept Brandon's name instead of Sam's name.  So just know that dinkin flicka means ojo.

A Grades: TJ

B Grades: Sam, Tyler, Kyle, Scot

C Grades: Skyler, Brady, Tommy, Matt, Trevor, Rob

D Grades: Jordan

FantasyPros is another site I often use for league rankings. They don't provide a link to review the grading, so I'll paste the screenshots below:

TJ, Kyle, and Sam appear in the top 4 in all 3 rankings, and Jordan is at the bottom in all 3 rankings. Obviously, take this all with a grain of salt because 1) It's all just projections and guessing and 2) a majority of the league did not draft DST or keepers, and their scores would go up if they had drafted a full roster. 

Draft Day Eve: A Visit From ST. Goodell

‘Twas the night before draft day and all through the league, everyone was excited, especially defending champ Teej,

The draft board was hung on the wall that was darker, with all owners hoping to get their favorite color marker. 

The former champs had all finished their special dinner, while those not invited hoped to be this season's big winner.

When on the text chain there arose such a noise, a discussion of golf in the morning with the boys

Away to fantasypros I flew like a flash, in hopes to get in a few more mock drafts

The keepers were tricky and no one did know, to which team in the morning their favorite players would go

When to my glee I saw my keeper inbound, what great value, Jayden Daniel’s in the 6th round!

But then I saw things that did ruin my plan, in the 5th round -- Sam’s keeping Achane

More rapid than cheetah, the keepers they came, and now sadly I will list them by name

Nabers, Jakobi, and Brian Thomas (the little), all good tight ends - McBride, Bowers and Kittle!

I'm mixing up my references this is simply a mess, back I go to “A Visit from St. Nicholas”

On second thought, no, this is taking too long, and most of my draft prep time is now nearly gone

So I’ll end this early, my own fun remix, and get ready to win championship number 6
